- Maintaining Eye Contact
If my eyes tend to dart around while I am talking to you, it’s because I am trying to figure out what I’m going to say before I respond. That doesn’t mean that I am not listening to you. This is the way that I process information.

2. Taking things too Literally
One Day while I was in the kitchen eating breakfast at the time I was 5 years old at the time. Then my dad came down to the kitchen saying ” I gotta fly!” I didn’t understand what my dad meant so I looked out the kitchen window asking my mother, ” Hey mom, is there an airplane on the driveway?” My mom laughed replying back to me saying, ” Megan this is a way of your dad saying that he is running late for work.

3. Heightened Sensory Sensitivities
Certain Noises such as
Storm Sirens
Every time I hear the storm sirens go off I get very frightened and very irritated the the sound because it is so loud and it hurts my ears.
Certain Textures
“Ugh!” “so Slimy! “Yuck!”
Certains Smeels
One smell that really affects me is the smell of coleslaw. I can’t even be in the kitchen because the smell is so overwhelming for me that I feel sick to my stomach sometimes. Another one that is equal to this has to me mint flavored toothpaste. That I can absolutely not handle at all. So Instead I use cinnamon flavored toothpaste because it is not as strong.
