Because of the current heatwave that has been going on lately the grass is so dry because of the summer drought the ants have somehow found out a new habitat in my bedroom. Here let me explain. Monday morning I woke up in the morning only to find out that I had unwelcome guests in my bedroom. There were tons of them. It was so terrifying for me. Then I let out the biggest loudest scream I have ever done. I shouted, ” Mom I have a problem. I found that I have ants crawling around on my bedroom floor! Can you please come downstairs?” At this time my anxiety skyrocketed so that I couldn’t even stay in my bedroom. I decided to sit down on the downstairs couch and watch one of my favorite shows on the downstairs television to try and help me to calm down a little bit while my mom dealt with the ants It worked for a slight while. Later when I decided to make dinner that evening, the dinner I made for the family was called egg roll in a bowl. After dinner was done I went downstairs in my bedroom and thought maybe I should play some video games to keep my mind calm so I did that. Before I went to bed for the night, I noticed that there were more ants crawling on the bedroom floor. I decided to not worry about this and go to sleep. At least I thought that I would get a really good night’s sleep. I didn’t in fact, it was the complete opposite of that. I only got a solid 3 hours of sleep. I kept having nightmares that the ant situation was going to be even worse the next day. I was hoping that wouldn’t be true. But to my dismay it happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The next morning I woke up and I felt like a zombie because of how rough of a night I had. I noticed there were some ants,but I got dressed and I went up the stairs to the kitchen area. I had my cup of morning energy juice known as my coffee. I thought this will wake me up sooner or later. Because I was so lethargic that didn’t even help me. After I made my breakfast my mom came downstairs to see how bad the ant infestation was. Turns out it was even worse than the day before. My mom then asked me for some paper towels. So I went up to the kitchen to grab about 3 paper towel sheets. Then I quickly rushed out of the bedroom as fast as I could. After that my mom told me she had to go to work. So if there were any more ants, I would have to take care of them myself. At first, I refused to do anything about it. But, after my mom finally came back home from work my mom and I decided that we needed to resolve the ant infestation. I looked up on Google to see what kind of ants we were dealing with. Turns out that my mom and I had to get liquid ant bait and ant stakes to place in the ground outside. So after we went to the store and found out what we were looking for, my mom and I had to deal with the ant infestation head on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overcoming my ant fear<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When I came back down the stairs to my bedroom in the basement, I had found tons more of them just roaming around. My mom told me to grab some disinfectant wipes and wipe up all of the ants off the floor. I was trembling so much because of the anxiety it was giving me. At this moment I said to myself, “Ok I have to face my fear.” So my mom turned on my ceiling fan to air dry the floor. Then My mom put down the ant baits and placed them in the designated areas where they were coming from. Not even ten to fifteen minutes later they were back at it again. This time they had migrated to my dresser. Because there was something that they were attracted to. I had some gummy bears on my dresser shelf. So I asked my mom, ” Do you have any glass jars or plastic storage containers?” My mom replied back to me saying ,”Let’s see what I can find. ” I replied back saying , ok thank you!” Meanwhile I decided to take the cube storage squares out because the ants migrated from the wall ,climbed to the top of my dresser to my cubed storage boxes. So I grab some disinfectant wipes to get rid of them once and for all. After I got done with all that, I am guessing that I had killed over 100 ants in one day. Eventually they stopped coming in. I am so glad that I have overcome my fear of ants.That ‘s all for now<\/p>\n\n\n\n
